Sell More by Reducing Risk - New E-Book

"You've got to see this!" my friend says to me excitedly as he grabs me by the arm and starts pulling me towards his office.

"What is it?" I ask.

"I can't tell you.  You've just got to see it."

"Why can't you tell me?  I'm kind of busy."

He didn't answer - just kept marching me down the hall to his office.  Although I was kind of busy, my curiousity was begining to get the better of me.  What was I going to see?  During the ten seconds or so it took to get to his office, my mind reeled with possibilities.

Was there a fire?  A car accident?  A cloud shaped like a winged horse?

We got to his office and he pointed out the 12th floor window to the roof of a building about 500 feet away and there I saw the most incredible sight!

A crane was dangling from the roof of a twenty-story building!  But, that wasn't the most amazing part.

The crane had been positioned on the roof for a number of weeks because the maintenance company for the building was repairing windows that had been damaged in a tornado.  The crane was used to lower the glass to workers on a scaffold.  Somehow, the crane had been knocked over and nearly tumbled over the side of the building.  The space between the cab and the treads had hooked itself on the elevated ledge - preventing the crane from falling onto the crowded sidewalk below.  The telescoping boom pointed crazily towards the ground and then I saw what my friend was talking about.

A man . .  was hanging . . . on the hook . . . that was attached to the steel cable . . . coming from the boom!  Just hanging there - arms and legs dangling as he slowly twisted in the wind.

Friends are great for steering you in the right direction.  They know what will amaze or delight you.  They're great about recommending restaurants or movies or blogs or other people or amazing sights you can see from your own office building.  Friends are trusted resources.

Since I consider myself a trusted resource of each of you, I hope you'll be intrigued enough to spend a few minutes downloading a free e-book from www.salesbloggers.com.  Several months ago, I was invited to become a member of The Salesbloggers Union - a group of nine sales trainers and sales managers from around the world that write about selling and sales management.  We've written an e-book called "How to Sell More by Reducing Risk" and I'm sure you'll find it to be worth your time.

So, go and visit the site, click on the link, enter your e-mail address and voilรก you will own the e-book.

What's in it you say?

Well, I could tell you but wouldn't it be more delightful to discover for yourself?

P.S.  The man was saved.  The fire department showed up with a big hook and ladder.  A crane operator lowered the man and he grabbed the ladder.  Wish you could have seen it!
